Algebra Essential Standards

Graph a Line: Students will be able to graph lines by table, intercepts, y=mx+b and word problem.

Slope: Students will be able to find the slope of a line, find the slope from a table of values and interpret slope as a rate of change.

Solving Multi-Step Equations: Students will be able to solve multi-step equations using the distributive property with variables on one side and variables on both sides.

Evaluate and Operations with Functions

Write Equations of Lines-Slope

Solve Systems of Linear Equations: Students will be able to solve systems of linear equations by graphing, substitution and elimination.

Exponential Functions: Students will be able to multiply and divide with exponents including negative and zero exponents.  

Polynomials: Students will be able to identify key components of polynomials and perform mathematical operations with polynomials.  

Factoring: Students will be able to factor polynomials using the GCF, distributive property, grouping, adds to multiply to and AC methods.  

Quadratics: Students will be able to graph Quadratics using a table, vertex and axis of symmetry.
