God the Father allowed Jesus Christ, his Son, to suffer and die the way he did because of his love for all human beings; in that love, he wants us to live eternally with him in heaven. His Passion reveals the depth of the Father’s love in helping all people to not be overcome by the magnitude of evil, sin, and death.
