In teams, prepare an informative report on the importance of quality management in the context of product design, process planning, and manufacturing implementation. For example, research and describe, through class discussion, the aspects of Joseph Juran’s trilogy of quality planning, quality control, and quality improvement; sampled inspection during manufacturing and the use of the Taguchi method to minimize sampling; or the concept of 6-sigma in manufacturing. Prepare and deliver a presentation to the class, and incorporate visuals and information from print and electronic resources.
