Establish an understanding of the three main parts of the agricultural education program.

Express the importance of agriculture, food and natural resources in daily life.  

Explore different pathways in the Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources Cluster. 

Develop employability skills related to the AFNR Cluster. 

Define Supervised Agricultural Experience Program. 

Explore opportunities in the local chapter, State Association, and National FFA Organization.

Demonstrate an understanding of the local Agricultural Education program.  

Give examples of how the agriculture industry provides basic human needs (food, clothing, shelter).

Discuss the evolution of the agriculture industry. 

Summarize the importance of agriculture, food and natural resources to South Dakota’s economy. 

Identify the different pathways in AFNR. 

Examine career opportunities in the AFNR pathways. 

Use appropriate protective equipment and demonstrate safe and proper use of AFNR tools and equipment.

Develop soft skills to enhance employability.
