Identify the features that constitute a Christian understanding of marital love (unity, indissolubility, fidelity, and openness to procreation); and the benefits (i.e. effects) of the sacrament (an increase of sanctifying grace – the special help of God for husband and wife to love each other faithfully, to bear with each other's faults, and to bring up their children properly) and identify ways the Church and society can both strengthen and benefit from Catholic families and their members.
