Define the difference between the exercise of authority (i.e. having a sphere of responsibility for others) and the use of power (i.e. the way and means of enacting one's authority / responsibility) and explain, using real life examples why it is “preferable that each power be balanced by other powers” or spheres of responsibility (e.g. teacher and parent, teacher and principal, principal and older students - hall monitors; parents and older sibling; referee and coach; legal system - police officer, lawyer, crown prosecutor, judge and court of appeals; Polis - Prime Minister, members of the ruling party and the opposition; Magisterium of the Church and the laity).
