Describe and discuss Developmentally Appropriate Practice as it pertains to the young child from infancy through eight years of age with an emphasis on the importance of healthy and respectful relationships between adults, children, and families in the early learning setting.

Recognize and discuss inappropriate teaching methods for young children.
